 Pre-Filtration (Stage 1, 2 & 3) - recommended change every 6-12 months

Pre-filter lifetime can be reduced as a result of the level of turbidity and sediment in the feed water. The BMB HP-105 LX Reverse Osmosis System uses high performance pre-filters. Although the pre-filters used in this system are fully efficient in removing chlorine and sediment, they do much more.

First, the pre-filters for this system will remove sediment down to 0.5 microns which will more thoroughly protect the RO membrane.

Second, the pre-filters use coconut shell powder carbon instead of granule or block carbon (used in traditional systems) which has up to 10 million times more surface area for greater absorption rates and much longer lifetime.

Third, the pre-filters in this system are also designed to reduce heavy metals such as iron, manganese and rust which can also damage the RO membrane.

Reverse Osmosis Membrane (Stage 4) - recommended change every 12 - 36 months

Reverse Osmosis is the most advanced technology of water purification in use today. The technique uses a nanotechnology enabled semipermeable membrane which can reduce or remove most harmful impurities found in tap and well water including: microorganisms, nitrates, heavy metals, fluoride, insecticides and much more. The BMB HP-105 LX uses the industry leading, USA made, DOW Filmtec Membranes for solid reliability and performance. The double o-ring housings ensure no leaking problems, filters and pump and other components are made in Taiwan with top end manufacturing quality with NSF certification.

The table below lists the performance of specific contaminants. This is only a partial list of the virtually hundreds of thousands of contaminants that Reverse Osmosis can filter.

At the heart of every Reverse Osmosis system is the membrane filter. The membrane filter consists of microporous, semipermeable membrane sheets. The average pore sizes on the RO membrane is in the range of 0.0005 mm (0.5 nanometers). The membrane filter has one water inlet and two exits. The feed water first travels through the pre-filters and then to the membrane filter.

At the exit of the membrane filter one of the ports is the rejected waste water which is connected to the drain, while the other port is the purified water which is plumbed to the post-filters.

We recommend membranes are changed no longer than every 3 years or when the TDS reaches over 50ppm.

Post Filter (Stage 5) - recommended change every 6-12 months

The Post Filter is an NSF Certified Activated Granular Coconut Shell Carbon: NSF.

This coconut shell carbon that acts as a final polisher and mineraliser.

 

Upgrade Option - 150GPD Recomax Low Rejection RO Membrane

Save £££'s on your water bills by upgrading your membrane to a Recomax Low Rejection Membrane. RO Membranes filters water with a ratio of 3:1 (3 litres of waste water for 1 litre of purified water). However, with this membrane, for every 1 litre of purified water only 1 - 1.5 litres is waste water. Better for the environment by using less water but also saving you money from your electricity bills if you have water running on a meter.

Collections


Collections are usually ready within 2 hours (unless stated otherwise, please call to confirm) at 47 Kempe Road, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 4QT.

For collections, we will need to see the order confirmation email and 2 pieces of ID (photo ID and ID with your address on it, such as a utility bill). The IDs must match the billing name and address. 

Free Delivery (UK Mainland)


All products in stock under £50 are dispatched same day and posted via Royal Mail or MyHermes to be delivered within 3 - 5 working days. Orders must be placed before 15:00 (3:00pm) for same day dispatch. Please allow up to 7 working days for your item(s) to arrive.

All products in stock and priced over £50 will be dispatched the same day with next working day delivery when ordered before 13:00 (1pm). Order by 1pm Monday to Friday to receive your order next working day (orders dispatched the same day have a 99% next working day delivery but please allow up to 5 working days for your item(s) to arrive). 

Saturday Delivery - £25.00 (UK Mainland)


If you require your product to be delivered on a Saturday, please select the Weekend Delivery option. Orders must be placed by Friday before 16:00 (4pm) for Saturday delivery.

Special Requirements / Backorders


For special requirements and backorders (i.e. a unique tap colour and items out of stock but available on back order) please allow up to 4 - 5 weeks (you will receive emails from us with regular updates). 

Acquapuro 3-Way Taps


Hommix UK does not keep Acquapuro items in stock. These products are stored at Aqcuapuro's warehouses and dispatched by Aqcuapuro directly. Order must be placed before 13:30 (1:30PM) for next day delivery for these items. 

At Hommix UK we strive on customer support and you'll be updated of your order at every stage of the journey. Refunds will be handled through email if necessary.

International Deliveries


We are now collecting prices to include local taxes, duties, and shipping expenses. The amount you pay at checkout will be the final price, inclusive of all associated costs, with no additional charges.

Returns


Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your order was received, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable):

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any orders placed with multiple items and you wish to return part of the item

 

Refunds (if applicable)

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. You will receive an automated email regarding the refund once we have processed it.

Please allow 3 - 5 business days for the refunded amount to arrive back to the card. PayPal payments tend to be available instantaneously. 

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
